Leap Strategy’s mission is to help nonprofits and small firms take a giant leap forward through strategic planning and operational excellence. Founder Harvey Hurdle brings a track record of proven strategies to help clients rapidly expand the reach of their missions and build platforms for growth. A combination of the team's experience in successfully managing both nonprofit and corporate entities, and a passion for giving back to the community, uniquely positions Leap Strategy to facilitate the advancement of your organization.

Harvey Hurdle

Harvey Hurdle has a long history of success in both the nonprofit and for-profit worlds. Harvey has been actively involved in the LGBTQ community since the late 1980s through continuous board service at the local, statewide, and national level, including terms at the AIDS Information Network, Equality PA, and the Victory Fund.

During his extensive professional career, Harvey was Chief Operating Officer of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) during a period of record growth. There, he helped develop the Corporate Equality Index, along with a cutting-edge member database system that improved member communication and donor responsiveness.

Entering the Corporate World

Harvey subsequently entered into the corporate realm as chief operating officer, and then chief executive officer, of Sellers Dorsey (SD), a Philadelphia-based national healthcare consulting firm. At SD, Harvey developed an integrated financial and key performance indicator reporting system that helped to more than double revenue and expand product and service offerings. He also helped create the Sellers Dorsey Foundation, dedicated to reducing health disparities within the LGBTQ community. Its signature program, Out to Enroll, was honored at the White House for its efforts to enroll LGBTQ Americans into health insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act.

Harvey Hurdle’s success in developing strategic action and business plans for transformation and growth, along with his decades of service in the LGBTQ community, set Leap Strategy up as a leading player in the field. Harvey holds a B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Temple University.
